Typically, a recent customer of Co-IDB Team - an expert in the chemical field. SurTec looked to Co-IDB to come up with solutions to renovate the workspace, redesign the entire office, and especially put the brand's spirit into the design. SurTec is the Vietnam-based enterprise of Freudenberg Group - a long-standing business group in Germany. Co-IDB does nothing but strive to satisfy this "sophisticated and careful guest".
In addition to the urgent progress, requirements and high standards of completion from customers, Co-IDB Team also encountered a special construction time: close to Tet and lasted until the long holiday. However, let's see the product and evaluate the results of the whole Team!
When designing an office, it's important to focus not only on functionality and brand identity but also on addressing any limitations of the space. The design project for San Dentist Dental Clinic in District 3, Ho Chi Minh City by Co-IDB is a prime example.
Project Design Challenges
Located at Phuong Nam Building on Vo Thi Sau Street, Surtec Office has a total area of more than 230 m2. However, the current office layout makes the space look small and narrow. In the office, there is also a lack of trees that make the office somewhat stuffy.
The existing ceiling-floor fit-out is also severely degraded. The tight plaster walls make the office look very small.
In addition, this customer needs a lot of records, but the current number of cabinets is not enough to meet the needs of use. File cabinets using transparent glass make the overall look messy and unsightly.
The whole office has only 1 small corner (left corner of the current picture) is the dining and printing area for employees. With the number of more than 20 employees, it is not enough to use.
A flawed layout poses no challenge for Co-IDB in providing design consultation.
Co-IDB conducted a thorough site survey and determined that although the clinic is located on a prime street in District 3, the space faced challenges like complex columns, slanted walls, and dead corners. In response, Co-IDB proposed using the columns as part of the customer waiting area and building storage to hide the slanted walls and dead corners. This approach not only added an impressive design feature but also optimized the usable space.

Clinic Design Overview
Through the time of discussion, research and proposal with the Client, the Co-IDB design team has turned Surtec into a modern office, bearing the typical colors of the Surtec Brand. The office has two main colors, White and accents on some walls, details in Blue. Co-IDB has added tree drawers in the staff's desk complexes to add vitality to the office, creating a comfortable feeling when working.
Co-IDB also proposed demolishing the drywall and replacing it with glass walls and decorating with decals cut with the Brand Name.
Within the customer's budget, Co-IDB also reused some interior parts such as chairs, tables, cabinets,...
The highlight of this new design must be the Pantry, the circular dining table and the flower-like chairs stand out in the middle of the space. Co-IDB also designed a high table close to the glass to take advantage of the view overlooking the streets of Saigon. The row of trees hanging down from the ceiling is also a beautiful corner for the whole space.
With the white and blue color scheme throughout, the design of San Dentist Clinic exudes modernity and sophistication.
Co-IDB goes beyond arranging dental care areas and reception like typical clinics. We also design staff offices, meeting rooms, customer consultation areas, and a pantry for dentists and nurses. This way, the clinic's workspace is optimized, serving both as a clinic and the main office for the San Dentist brand.

Reception Area
The customer experience at the clinic is a journey of being served with the utmost care and dedication. The reception area marks the beginning of that journey, so Co-IDB placed great emphasis on designing it with a harmonious blend of soft colors. The floor, walls, and ceiling are predominantly white, accented by sky-blue strips. The clinic's logo is prominently placed above the reception desk, enhancing the San Dentist brand recognition for anyone entering the clinic. These details help reduce the cold and intimidating atmosphere typically associated with clinics, making customers feel calm and comfortable when visiting.

Meeting Room
An effective meeting room is a place that fosters focus and creativity. Therefore, the design should incorporate ample natural light to keep the mind sharp, along with all the necessary equipment to support work. Co-IDB has focused on maximizing sunlight through large glass windows and equipping the room with modern furniture and conference technology. This has turned San Dentist's leadership meeting room into an ideal space for strategic development and making important decisions.
The meeting room is accented with a green plant, creating a comfortable atmosphere and reducing stress.
Staff Room
Employee comfort is always a top priority in every office design. Despite the modest size of the staff room, Co-IDB has flexibly arranged the desks to allow employees to focus on their tasks while interacting with ease. A bookshelf was also proposed by Co-IDB's designers to optimize the workspace. This layout not only enhances work efficiency but also creates a positive work environment.
The staff office may not be spacious, but it is arranged with exceptional intelligence.
Customer Consultation Room
Co-IDB understands that the design of a customer consultation room requires both privacy and openness. This is where customers need to feel most comfortable when making decisions, while also ensuring the confidentiality of their personal information. As a result, Co-IDB designed soundproof glass to separate the consultation room from the outside. Additionally, the room is equipped with a TV for consultants to display images or videos about San Dentist’s services.
The consultation room is designed and arranged to be very customer-friendly.
Pantry
The pantry is where staff, dentists, and nurses spend time during lunch breaks or when they need to recharge. Co-IDB has thoughtfully arranged all amenities in this room to support dining needs. Pantry furniture, such as the refrigerator, sink, water cooler, and kitchen cabinets, is smartly arranged and designed with a focus on functionality.
